I love this card - the shape, the crazy opening, and the magnets that keep it clipped shut. The colours are nice too! (Totally copied it, in case you think I'm tooting my own horn...)

I took my mom and my 4 year old son to the scrapbook store this afternoon and the owner was trying to engage Cameron in conversation the whole time we were there. Initially he was really shy and quiet, but eventually he loosened up and started chattering away with her. I was around the corner listening with amusement right up until she asked him what he does at daycare and he announced proudly, "WE DRINK WHISKY!"

I've been keeping busy making cards for orders. Here are a few wedding cards:
I love how the ribbon and pearl look very elegant together. The patterned paper also has a pearly finish.

This one has pale-blue pearl cardstock with a die-cut overlay and pale blue pearls for accents.

This one has a vellum overlay with gold wording on it.
This is the last one I made, and quite possibly my favourite: the metallic paper, the chipboard hearts, and of course that cute little frame for the sentiment.

More later! I've been working on a bunch of other stuff too. I'll post pics once they're finished! And hopefully that batch of pictures will turn out better. I'm a lot better at making the cards than I am at getting decent shots of them to post!
Love Shelley!

February Christmas Card Challenge

I made eight of these. I feel like something's missing on them but until inspiration comes to me, I'm calling 'em done and putting them away for now. They're on Fabriano watercolor cards, which are soooo luxurious and nice to work on. They have that pretty deckle edge and come with matching envelopes.

Hmmm. Glitter? Crystal Effects? Something around the outside edge? I just don't know. Any suggestions?
Love Shelley!

Some new cards

I am working on a couple of huge orders right now. Here are a few cards that I've finished in the last couple of days:

This rocket ship card was pretty much copied from one I saw on SCS.

I love how this one turned out. There are VERY few baptism cards out there that I could find, so I kind of had to wing it. The pink cardstock is Bazzill with a pearl finish.

This one has a set of Basic Grey magnets hidden inside it to keep it closed.

This little bug is supposed to be keeping a secret but I thought she was perfect for a birthday card for 2-year old Adyson.

This one is a 6x6, another custom card. This is for a 1-year old girl to give to her daddy to celebrate his 40th birthday.

And of course he'll be expecting a card from his wife too:

I thought I was done a batch of Christmas cards for the monthly challenge but once I took a picture of them I realized that something was missing. So, I'm off to finish those up, and then get a batch of birthday cards going.
Have a great day!
Love Shelley
